Tradition Famille Richaud 2022
Encépagement
Blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Carignan,
With a nice fruit and a beautiful roundness, this traditional cuvée honors
southern Côtes-du-Rhône.
Vignes et rendement
The grapes chosen to produce this cuvée were selected from the new terroirs bought by the family RICHAUD in 2017.
A set of 14 hectares located on the hillsides of Rasteau and in the Garrigues, which was abandonned and that the family recultivated and fully worked in organic farming.
After 5 years of care, the old Carignans from the Garrigues offered us grapes with great concentration.
We blended them with young Grenache, replanted in 2017, on the hillsides, for their very specific fruit.
Elevage
Short vatting of 8 to 12 days in concrete tank to extract a maximum of fruit and crunch.
Aged in concrete vats for 10 months.
Dégustation
Dark red color. The nose is greedy and fruity with notes of jammy red fruit, black olive, and leather.
The tannins are soft and enveloping, the finish is marked by a nice length in mouth.
This wine will go perfectly with game feathered during the winter, and delicious ribs during summer barbecues..
